Hebrews

The 58th Book in the Holy Bible, containing 13 chapters which houses 303 verses. There are verses of history, verses of unfulfilled prophecy, and verses of fulfilled prophecy. It takes about an hour to read this powerful message, if you can keep from stopping and researching out the precious gems of truth that seem to thrust themselves at you; they draw you into more… more… and more of HIM.

If the Old Testament prophets should be heard, how much more should we give ear to the revelation of the New testament Prophet who is God!

These Old Testaments saints had read the Old Testament and heard the Gospel Message from Jesus and later the Disciples. But note the position we are in. We have the whole living, written record of Jesus’ earthly ministry; we have the revelation of the personage of the holy Ghost; we have the apostles’ witness from the Book of Acts, and then we are blessed with the letters of the New Testament!!!

It is evident here that the writer of Hebrews was nudging us to not forget these things and especially NOT to neglect these teachings, nor fall away from them. Our enemy, satan, likes nothing better than “neglecting, sluggish” Christians.
