It is the Acts of the “Holy Ghost” moving through the “Apostles” confirming the Word of God! Here we see the Gospel begin to spread beyond Jerusalem into the uttermost parts of the “then world!” It is an empowered Gospel as
the “wind” of Pentecost billows across the lives of the disciples.
It is the record of the Holy Ghost as it empowers men & women to carry on the work of Jesus Christ! You will note that the Millennial Kingdom is kept in focus throughout the Book of Acts.
The “Church Begins” is an introduction to the Acts of the Apostles. It calls into focus the founding days of The Church and covers the first two great periods of church development — (1) “The Church at Jerusalem and the (2) Church in
Transition.” It stresses patterns of growth and draws lessons for the church today — “For these things were written for our learning.” Romans 15:4
The Book of Acts shows the enabling power which filled the early Church and caused it to grow. Should the church today build on the same foundation according to the same patterns, and with the same power, it will see the same
growth and development. To study the book of Acts is to relive the days of the Church foundation and to see the fulfillment of Jesus’ declaration, “I will build my church: and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)
To study The Book of Acts is to be on hand when the “Church begins” and to sense in the dynamic and pulsating power of it’s beginning, the purpose and promise of it’s future!
The Book of Acts "lives" and "speaks"
because of it is the Supernatural message of the Holy Ghost
moving upon and in the hearts and lives of the New Testament Believers!
Pentecost is a Greek word meaning fifty. Fifty days elapsed from the Resurrection of Christ until the descent of the Holy Ghost. It comes from the Feast of weeks mentioned in Leviticus. 23:16; "Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD."
The first healing after Pentecost by the Apostles, The enemies of Christ exposed--The Priests, the Sadducees and the Captain of the temple!
